This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us & sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
I John 4:10    But God demonstrates His own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.   Romans 5:8

Love is exalted: And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
I Corinthians 13:13

Love is earnest: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.   Romans 12:9-10

Love is essential: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart & with all your soul & with all your mind.
This is the first & greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
All the Law & the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”   Matthew 22:36-40

Love is eternal: For the LORD is good & His love endures forever;
His faithfulness continues through all generations.  Psalm 100:5
Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:26

Let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God & knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.    I John 4:7-8

Love is lavish: How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!   I John 3:1

Love is long-suffering: Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22

Love is liberating: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.   I John 4:18

Love is loyal: As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. If you obey My commands, you will remain in My love, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commands & remain in His love.   John 15:9-10

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, & God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, because in this world we are like Him.   I John 4:16-17

Love is obedient: This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God & carrying out His commands. This is love for God: to obey His commands.  I John 5:2-3

Love is open-hearted: If anyone has material possessions & sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions & in truth.  I John 3:17-18

Love is observant: Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate & humble.  I Peter 3:8

Love is optimistic: Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  I Corinthians 13:6-7

I ask that we love one another. And this is love: that we walk in obedience to His commands. As you have heard from the beginning, His command is that you walk in love.  2 John 5-6

Love is vital: If I have the gift of prophecy & can fathom all mysteries & all knowledge, & if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  I Corinthians 13:2

Love is virtuous: Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy & dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness & patience. Bear with each other & forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Colossians 3:12-14

Love is validating: A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know you are My disciples, if you love one another.  John 13:34

Love is victorious: Love never fails.   I Corinthians 13:8
