Second Street Pantry News
Fall 2024
It's that time of year when summer is wrapping up, kids are back in school, and family schedules are filling up with activities. As you settle in to a busy fall routine or are simply enjoying the change in seasons, we hope you take a moment here to see how busy Second Street Pantry has been this year and how you can continue to support our organization's important work in the Northwest Arkansas community.

If you ever drive by our pantry on a Tuesday afternoon, you will see the line of cars waiting for food and volunteers hard at work. Second Street Pantry takes seriously the responsibility to connect and care for our community members who need help in meeting their basic needs. Elderly people, working families, single parents, those on disability, refugees, caregivers, and students are just some of the people that come to our door looking for food, personal care goods, and diapers.
This year we have had a 36% increase in the number of households we serve and a 17% increase in food costs over the same time period last year. This has resulted in a decreased amount of food we are able to purchase and offer our pantry guests. As a small organization funded 100% from donations, we cannot address these concerns without your partnership and support. Please consider a recurring or one time gift to SSPM today so we can maintain our mission to serve our local neighbors and meet these growing needs.
Thank you for your time, money, and prayers that continue to sustain our mission. We appreciate all our generous partners and look forward to working together to ensure none of our neighbors go hungry.
