Our Story

Second Street Pantry was established as a community outreach program by a few First United Methodist Bentonville Church members in 2011. We operated as a ministry of the church on the church property at 201 NW 2nd Street in Bentonville.

In January of 2017, Second Street Pantry Missions, Inc (SSPM) applied for and became a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit in the state of Arkansas.

Our organization provides food, personal care goods, financial assistance, and education to those experiencing situational or generational poverty.

SSPM operates with a 100% volunteer staff and is 100% funded by donations from area individuals, businesses, churches and foundations.

Today SSPM serves hundreds of community residents facing food insecurity each and every month.  Each Tuesday we offer groceries from noon to 6:00 pm and a free hot meal from  5-6:00 pm.  We offer limited financial assistance on Tuesdays from noon to 2:00 pm to those who qualify.  We also provide personal care items the last Tuesday of each month.
